This elegant early square piano by Timothy Gilbert.

Cabinet: Late empire style in crotch mahogany veneer and rosewood case has square corners and fluted tapered legs with carved elaborate ionic capitals. Has original brass casters. Replacement music rack and pedal leg.

Dimensions: 72" wide, 29 ½" in depth, and 34 ½ " tall from floor to the top of the case

Action: Early square action with intermediate levers to lift hammer shanks, black iron hitch pin plate on right side

To be restored: Case is very presentable as is, but could be refinished if desired. Has very high quality classic cabinet by a notable early American builder. Sound would be typical of a square from this era.
