Cabinet:  Original finish in excellent condition!  Mahogany with ebony inlay; square cornered all wood framed instrument.  Has six turned legs, four across the front with original brass casters; maple nameboard with grills and perfect name plate.

Dimensions:  65 ½"  x  25 ¼"  ,   32 ½" from top of case to floor.

Action:  Early English with escapement; needs complete rebuild; overhead clothes pin type dampers.  Tuning pins at back and right side of case.  One continuous bridge.

Case looks wonderful, especially considering it is over 180 years old.  All wood frame (except small modern channel iron brace underneath to control warping.)  This brace cannot be seen except from underneath.  Broadwood was, and is, the top English piano builder.  His early instruments were considered some of the best in the world at that time.
