Beckwith (Sears) - Reed Organ - 2 ranks Date: Ca. 1900 - 1910 Keyboard compass: 61 note 5 octave Key covering: Original celluloid with ebony sharps in good condition. Cabinet: Solid walnut case with carving and scroll type carved legs. Open cut grills on either side of music rack and below keys. Missing original decorative top but is the style that looks complete without it. Dimensions: 44" wide, 24" in depth, and 48 ½" tall. Action: Typical size action with two ranks of reeds (122 reeds) and 11 stop knobs. Keyboard divided into bass and treble with separate stops for each half. Has full organ and swell knee levers. 8' and 4' ranks in bass half and two 8' ranks in the treble. Has bass and treble couplers, tremolo, and swell controls. To be restored. Will complete into a very attractive and fine playing organ. Very representative of this era of American reed organ building. |
